Today we read the introduction to the book.

We learn in the introduction more about the name of the book, "SamePage: Journey."

This holiday season I encountered some rubbing of heads with a relative. It was not a pleasant experience.  He and I are both Christians and I wonder why we cannot be more like-minded and keep harmony.  There just seems something not right about that aspect.  I think everyone has people that rub them the wrong way and can relate.

Life is a growing lesson as we grow closer to Jesus and closer to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I like to envision the cross as two relationships.  The first is horizontal representing people we meet in our daily walk and the second is vertical representing God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  To be on the same page we must intersect in the middle of the cross.

I had a discussion yesterday with my sister-in-law who has terminal liver cancer about purposes of our life, that we may know and we may never know what our God given purpose as it is God's choice to reveal it to us.  One thing we agreed on was that our purpose is about relationships.  First, our relationship with God and second our relationships with people.

As we move into the advent season, consider your relationships and how they work together as we begin preparing for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Please pray with me.  Lord, give us all a Spirit of being on the same page, growing to think more like You and living in harmony with others.  We want to be like You.
