Change! Oh, change is just like riding down a twisty, turning road. You have to be either one of those people who goes through bends and curves screaming or one of those people who goes through it embracing the thrill. For me, I think it depends on whether or not I am in the driver’s seat! I actually love how the road feels under the steering wheel while driving down those back country roads. I imagine it is the same way a race car driver feels. However, if I leave that control up to someone else, I am sitting in the passenger seat holding my tongue and pressing down on the imaginary brake pedal on the floor board.

A curve in the road is not the end of the road unless you fail to make the turn. The road keeps going on whether you make the turn or not. Don’t give up and quit trying to make those changes in course. That is the same way with life. Life keeps going on whether I adapt to the change or not. There are many changes in life, even daily. With God’s strength, we can have the ability to roll with the changes, be flexible, and go with the flow. We can be ready to see where God takes us on this life’s journey to see what is around the next bend.

Our life changed years before we were born. It changed in a name. Immanuel. “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us)” Matthew 1:23. God is with us every day through the changes of life. With great thanks I consider how God never changes! I can stay steady on the Rock “Jesus Christ [that] is the same yesterday, today, and forever” Hebrews 13.8.
