Take for Granted . . . an Arrow Prayer

6.28.13 Arrow Prayer:  Lord, I saw on the internet in several places yesterday an image that said, "sometimes people don't notice the things we do for them until we stop doing them" and found myself once again wishing people would see how destructive many of these word images are.  They make us think bad of others instead of humbling ourselves.  They make us boast of ourselves rather than seeing our own sins.  Just because there may be some truth to them that hits home does not mean they are a good way to be led into thinking.  Lord, thank You for the gifts You give me that allows me to do for others and may I never stop doing things for others to test them to see if I am being taking for granted.  Lord, please keep my mind aware of the many things people are doing for me and give me the words and actions to show to them my appreciation so that I never make them feel taken for granted.  I can think of many people in my life that give selfishly to me all the time, especially in just the little things they do, and I thank You, Lord, for bringing them into my life.  Amen.
