The Chrismon - Jerusalem Cross | Crusader's Cross

OUR LIFE IN CHRIST story: Through Holy Baptism, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we are brought to faith in Jesus our Lord and Savior, who redeemed us, by His death on the cross, through His Word, and the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and in regular worship we are strengthened until that great day when we shall rise to eternal life with the King of Kings.

This is the Jerusalem cross. Sometimes it is called the Crusader's cross. This cross has many meanings. The first meaning is that the center cross is made by joining four Tau crosses. The four smaller crosses represent the four Gospels. It can also represent the Christian mission to tell everyone of Jesus, with the large cross standing for the church at Jerusalem and the four small Greek crosses standing for the four corners of the earth. Another meaning is that the five crosses represent the five wounds our Lord suffered at the crucifixion-the large cross for the wound in His side and the smaller crosses for the wounds in His hands and feet.

"Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put " it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." John 20:27
