The Chrismon - Star of David | Creator's Star

OUR LIFE IN CHRIST story: Through Holy Baptism, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we are brought to faith in Jesus our Lord and Savior, who redeemed us, by His death on the cross, through His Word, and the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and in regular worship we are strengthened until that great day when we shall rise to eternal life with the King of Kings.

This Chrismon is sometimes called the Creator's star and sometimes the star of David. The star has six points and God created the world in six days. That's why it is called the Creator's star. If you look closely you can see how this star has two triangles in it. As you will remember, the triangle represents the Holy Trinity. All three persons were present when the world was created. Some people have also used the six points to refer to six attributes of God the Father: power, wisdom, majesty, love, mercy, and justice. The star is also called the star of David. Jesus was a grandchild of King David.

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David." Luke 2:4
