Lesson 65 - Tearing/Ripping a Photo (link to comment1)(link to comment2)(link to comment3)(link to comment4)(link to comment5)

This is a VERY difficult technique that everyone wants to learn how to do!  Have fun!

There are many ways to tear photos! You'll be stuck here for a long time.

This video shares how to manually rip the paper. There are other methods to manually ripping, but I have chosen to share the brush method.

After I recorded this video, I realized that to get a good high drop shadow, I needed to merge the tear and the rip layers before applying the shadow! In addition, I think that a size 30 brush may be too large.

Here is another video which I did really quick today to roughly share some other methods to manually tear papers/photos.

Download the paper tears, layered template, and settings file which are utilized in the next two tutorials.

This video shares how you can utilize the downloadable pieces which I have available on your layout.

This video shares how to utilize the layered templates in Photoshop Elements.

This video shares how to create the tears with Atomic Cupcake actions. Many digital scrapbookers loved Atomic Cupcakes many actions but, unfortunately, she has closed down her site. At the time of recording this video, she gave us the action free and that was so sweet of her!

If you still have her actions, this video is for you!

Here are your digital scrapbooking layouts!
