:00 o'clock Create or use a thin rectangle frame.

:10 o'clock Fill the frame with a photo, allowing the photo to be cut off. Convert the photo to black and white.

:20 o'clock Write your journaling along one edge and one corner of the layout. Include a date.

:30 o'clock Add a (mostly) solid color background paper.

:40 o'clock Put elements between the frame/photo layer and the background layer and apply blending modes to all of the elements.

:50 o'clock Complete the layout adding your choice of title or more elements.
