American or Eastern Bluebird

I am enjoying Winter bird watching at the window of our feeders. Who needs television? I have noted 11 types of birds and have gotten photos of all but one. I thought I would share some of the photos, one in each post. Would you enjoy that? I have had a lot of Bluebird this year than ever before. They make my heart sing, especially when I see them fluff all up and make themselves look like they have on a big fur coat. This process is called "piloerection." The bluebirds create air pockets between their feathers which insulates them from the chilly temps and cold winds. I captured photos of mommas, pappas, and the children. The whole family is here! The males have darker breasts. We think these are all males.
