Morning Dove

#5 of 11 birds in my picture window is the morning dove. I only managed to get one photo of them because they do not make their appearance very often. There's a saying that "children should be seen and not heard," but with the morning dove, it is quite the opposite in that I hear their morning calls more often than I see them. I consider morning doves my respectful year-round neighbors as they never migrate away, but are never disrespectful of our space. They sing to make me happy and know of their presence, but show themselves only every so often as if to say a friendly 'hi." February 2025

I also spied this morning dove yesterday, March 1, 2021, for the first time in a long while. I am so excited the birds are returning for Spring!
