The Nuthatch looks similar to me to the Carolina Chickadee and the Northern Mockingbird.
White-breasted Nuthatches have a short tail and longer bill, and lack Carolina Chickadee's black throat patch.
The Nuthatch has a small, large head, short tail, long and pointed bill, gray-blue back, white face and underparts, and black or gray cap and neck, while the Northern Mockingbird is medium-sized, slender body, has a long tail, is grayish-brown with white wing patches and tail, and white underparts.
Nuthatches often walk headfirst down tree trunks and cling to bird feeders upside down. They do not migrate, so you can see them year-round.
