Filter Challenge

Lesson 8 - Glowing Edges Filter (Link to Comment)

I think this is one of the most fun filters to play with!  Just watch the video and see!

FYI

Does this filter depend on the foreground/background colors:  No.

It took me a long time before I arrived at something satisfactory using this filter. My steps included, but are not limited to, running the filter and placing it above an original layer of the photos, applying a shadow adjustment, applying a blending mode to the top layer, merging the two layers, extracting the boys from the photo, and putting the same paper layer over and below the extraction, lowering the opacity to the upper paper layer. Sounds confusing, huh?

I also played a lot with their faces and could not get them to look right, so I eventually arrived at this version with their faces off the page.

As is often my style, I use very little on my pages. The only item on this page is the same orange paper from Rachel's Shabby Autumn RAK she beswtowed on me.

Here's the second one I made when I video taped!

Here's another one I made!

Here are your digital scrapbooking layouts!
