I am always reading requests on how to share files online with others. This list is a great resource.

I opened a free MediaFire account some time ago just to store photos for myself before I splurged on a proper back up system. Some of those mentioned I'm not familiar with. A good resource for those who've not thought about uploading files. JanetMM

I never thought about using a service to upload my layouts, I usually just email them as attachments to my family. ccynden
How about Windows Live SkyDrive? I think I learned about it from you . Also, if someone wants to share really large files (and has some $$ to spend), they might want to check out Pogoplug. g_robb53
I have used several of these in the past, but I have my own hosting now. Much easier... for me and for the person downloading. Dawn
I had to learn about sharing files for my CT work...I heard that 4shared has had probs with hackers/stuff being stolen so don't use that myself...I use Mediafire, and Karen of Snickerdoodles told me about YouSendIt so I've also used that on occasion Good to have a list though, as I've not heard of some of those other places! I use MediaFire and Box.net. If I'm having trouble uploading to one of them, I try the other and usually have success. Both are free accounts. I try to stay away from 4shared, too, as I had heard about the problems there. I'll check out some of those others on the list and see if they are free and easy to use! Thanks, Hummie! I use Box.net for free and was paying for YouSendIt but I dropped it as I just didn't send out that much. NancyP

I am a 4shared girl, never had 1 little lick of problems in 4 years. Cause Hummie asked so nicely, i got mediafire too, but pay for it so my guests don't have to deal with the ads. Mediafire free always popped up so many ads that eventually i refused to go there! Until Ms. Hummie… lovinlifegurl

I am using dropbox. My son had been sending me stuff that way and when I got on board here at Hummies' that is where the collab, etc. is. Works for me. The only things I share are for the site here. I do use it as a way to download digi stuff while on my ipad, so I can then just go to my account and continue to download onto my computer. I discovered this by accident and it made me happy. I prefer to be on ipad unless I am using PSE and making layouts, or uploading layouts, or watching tutorials, etc. Nanscraps
