The Fun Extras - Set Three

50. Freebie Resources

On the hunt for freebies?  Some of us have too many of them!  However, if you do find some free time just for fun, here is a list of "freebie hunters" where you can find links to all the freebies!  What's a freebie hunter?  Read on!

Here are your comments!

Thanks for the great list, Hummie! This brings back such wonderful memories - I used to download every free thing I could find - LOL! g_robb53

thanks for this - I've tried a couple before now, and am also one who downloaded every freebie I came across, LOL! I am pleased to say I am MUCH more discerning now, LOL!! I'm going to spend some time browsing I think...bet there won't be many Christmas kits out there atm, LOL!! Thanks again! Bernie x

Thanks Hummie. I subscribe to a feed for one of these, but hopefully the others will show up some others not there. Having said that, like Bernie, I am more choosy these days. JanetMM

yes, I look every day for freebies Iam hooked but aleast Iam more choosey now HAHA Dawn Miner

I also used to download everything free that came my way thinking that I just might use/need it someday. Most of it was quick pages, before I knew how to really scrap. I've deleted most of them and am very picky now! I still look, but I don't download as often. belle33

I too have cut way back on downloading every freebie that came along. I have learned to resist the temptation syndrome to "click here to download", LOL. My freebies closet has been just as big as my clothes closet and that is terrible as most things I could not fit into anymore, and things had to be cleaned out and thrown away, so too the freebies. ccynden

No, not more tempatation! I have learned I need to be more choosy these days with my downloads lest my hard drives explode! Mole

I too downloaded lots of freebies and can still be tempted occasionally now, thanks for the list Janen

I have hand picked freebies in my google reader. I haven't really had the time to go through my google reader recently. I just looked, and I have over 1,000 blog posts in there! Yikes! The only blog I really frequent on a regular basis is Hummie's blog. But I do need to find some time to go through the posts in reader. You never know what you might find! Dawn

Thanks for the list, Hummie! I'll definitely check them out. I'm pretty picky about what I download anymore because 1) I have hughesnet satellite internet and there's a limit on usage each day 2) I have so much stuff that I've bought, let alone got as freebies, that's never been used 3) unfortunately, there actually is a limit to how much you can put on a hard drive(s) - I have 2 externals hooked up to my laptop. pammyj

WOW! This is great! Although I am like pammyj, I will certainly look through them. If I let myself go, I will have millions of freebies floating around!!!! nancyp

I am just as bad. I used to download them all, but now I only get stuff I know I like and can use with one of my pictures...lol Plus we are like Pammyj too, hughes net is the bain of my existence and my Terabyte drive is quickly filling up...lol mrscwooddell

Thanks for the list. I hope to get a chance to look at some of the sites soon. Retirement is hard on a person. Seems I have less time than when I worked. I guess I was just more organized back then. awsomelib

Thanks for the list Hummie. lynnedbears

Thats the freebie fever! Been there when I first started. Now I'm picky and get only ones I will use. I still have stuff on my HD that I just don't like that I down loaded only because they were free. I need to delete them. I still love going to the freebie hunters. A lot of times you can find full kits that are really good for free. wisdomandgrace

Thanks for the list ,but I have so much stuff it is hard to keep track sometimes. Jules

Thanks for the list Hummie. As I am still new to this I will try and keep the above comments in mind and be discerning. Alida

At first I too downloaded everything that I could get for free and then found I had lots of items I would never use. It is exciting at first but then you soon realize that you need to be careful. April

Thanks for the list, Hummie! That's probably the one thing that I am not short on. I love the fact that digital scrapbook designers are so generous in their giving! It made it a lot easier to get started digiscrapping! lulubelle

Thanks for the resoures. Just a manner of having the time to search. u make our lives a little easier. 204cg

Thanks for the list Hummie. Like everyone when they start digi I went mad downloading. I have stuff stored on an ehd that I have never used but cant bear to delete just in case ! I try not to do too many freebies now a1bjm

Digi Free has changed it's name to CraftCrave and has expanded it's offerings to all sorts of things, not just digital. I love going and looking--it's where i find a lot of new hybrid ideas and some nice tuts. I have far too many freebies. I used to go to digi free everyday! I don't anymore, but whenever i go, there are so many free products of quality that i want to pickup. Still. lovinlifegurl

Hand Picked Freebies is gone. Also, I think you could add the Blog Train Blog. They always have a blog train going and those are free. Great links to try out! I don't download a whole lot anymore. I find that I buy little things here and there and download the occasional blog train. JustaMommie

I don't look for freebies like I did years ago. I have got too choosy I guess. JodyT

I was another one who downloaded every (almost) freebie that came along. Now I'm picky. :D Tammyshere

I finally settled on this one: QualityDigiScrapFreebies I liked its facebook page and all I have to do now is glance in my newsfeed and see if any of the freebies appeal to me. I will maybe check this list out.....I don't really need more temptation. nanscraps

I am familiar with three. Craft Crave is no longer one of my favorites. She publishes personal photos, allows other designers to post sales ads instead of freebies, etc. On a different note, I am a designer. I get the fact that people would rather get their stuff free rather than pay for it. But as a designer, the most frustrating part of my craft is that people can't even leave a datgum thank you. For pete's sake, doing so takes maybe a few seconds of their time. Folks, we work hard to create our designs, sometimes spending hour upon hour just finessing a kit, etc.

Thanks for the list. I like to grab freebie that I use once and delete. Just to try a lot of different things. AMarie
