Gazebo Sunsets

Listen while scrolling the text.

A gazebo of gals
chatter connecting, sipping, & eating
A gathering of gals
to watch a sunset,
unseen behind the clouds
but certain it still exists.
Tapping into memories instead.

Sometimes clouds only
partly hide the sun
and create fabulous art
across the sky.

Oh the colors!
Red always present,
and pinks show up for a special occasion.

Always the romantic time of day,
most special sitting with
another person -- or a gazebo of gals!

Gloaming is the word! Who knew?
That twilight between dusk & total
darkness. My eyes drink it in.

My mental health soaks in the calm.
While the fireflies come to life
and dance just for me,
taking their cue from the
waning sun.

Staring at the sun
long enough,
you can actually see it move!

Every little moment,
ever-changing, from muted
hues, to upward rays
oh-so-heavenly, to vivid colors now!

Surprisingly prettier
after it goes away.
That round circle slowly
moving down until it is a half-circle,
and then a little tip
that disappears.

Don't forget to look around;
see those colors reflecting
in the water? The shallow
ripples seem to be carrying
the colors in a line towards me!

God made this just for me!
Okay, and also for my company.
I feel special. I feel loved.
Some people don't get it, so they say.

Good-bye sunset.
See you again tomorrow!
I know you will be different,
but so will I.
