Prayer Bullet Journal

I never intended on doing bullet journaling as I already have so many thing I do. However, in 2020 our church created and handed out journals for the entire year for sermon notes and Bible study notes. I found I did not have enough room for all I wanted to write, so I bought this 6 ring binder. Now that I have a binder, and extra preprinted pages, I found myself deciding what to do with the other pages. I have wanted for a long time to become more intentional with prayer. However, I did not want something that was time consuming. Nothing I found online fit with what I had in mind, so I created one for myself and I am sharing it. I wanted something where I could write specific prayers and yet not lead me to writing out long prayers, which I could easily see me doing.

What I created gives space to write the prayer request, to add notes as the request changes or praises for answers arise, and the provides a simple monthly calender to color in the space for that date of the month when I prayed for that prayer request. If prayer requests last longer than a month, I will need to rewrite the request on a new page.

I am loving it so far! I have only used it a week or so and I am still needing it to become a habit. I am finding that I write little things along side or inside the box as I am praying. For instance, I wrote "Grandma loves you" on this one the first time I prayed it.

Also, I am using markers, pens, or pencils to draw lines along the dotted borders to make the page prettier, as well as to use different colors to underline the name of the person and to color in the squares.

I love that I can print on the paper I have on hand and use the hole punch and I do not have to worry about overspending buying pages of paper. When I am done, my plan is to scan in the pages and keep them in .pdf format. Some time ago I took my (very large) blog and saved it to .pdf before deleting it and ever since I have been adding to it privately. I have one .pdf per year. I really do not want to gain a collection of hard copy journals. My sermon notes are getting digitized and added where they go in my OneNote with my other Bible notes that I make. In this way I can find them when I am studying those verses again.

My binder is an A5, so that is the size I created this free download.

I created a line around the edge of the paper for easy in cutting to size.

The lines are a softer color so that they can be colored over.

Click to download. Enjoy!
