Reading through the Gospels 11

Luke 2:6-7

Luke 2:6-7 THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST

The people of the world were expecting the savior to be born in some fancy, royal place.  Stables were often caves with feeding troughs (mangers) carved into the rock walls, dark and dirty.  God can bring to us blessings in ways we would never expect.

A manger is a place to come and eat, so "come and taste and see that the Lord is good."

Was Jesus born on December 25? It is not know, but likely. This date has been utilized since the 4th century, that is 300 to 400 years after Jesus's birth.

December 15, 2014
I awoke early this Christmas morning and decided to spend time in these two verses, from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. What a great way to start Christmas morn! May your day be merry & bright in His Light! I wish for you a Merry Christmas and want to thank you for all the gracious
support this year, whether financially, or just through comments and encouragement, or participation. You have blessed me in more ways than I could ever imagine.
