#7 of 11 is the Northern Mockingbird! This bird is new to me in my garden. It shows up for a short bit of time and is very hard to capture with the camera. Sometimes it is days before I see it again. I thought the tail looked like a jay and initially called in a "gray jay" for lack of a better description. Then I researched it and found that the gray jay and the mockingbird are sometimes confused. I thought for a long time it was a Canadian Jay because of how beautify the underwings when it flies away, but because of the strips on its overwings, I guess it really is a Northern Mockingbird. It sure is an intriguing bird to me. February 2025
