I am giving you these two lessons together. These lessons are so closely related to the polka dot paper lesson that it is hard to choose which lesson to give first in order to build upon skills.
The first lesson is just on how to make patterns and the second lesson is on how to make striped papers. I did not want you to make a striped paper for the “pattern lesson” and then have to do it again later, so I am giving you both lessons at the same time.
For the patterned paper lesson, try to make something out of the ordinary for your pattern.
In 2010, I gave a way a simple pattern a day as thirty days of thanks(giving) and I created the below video to share how to use them. I originally gave these patterns away on Flickr, but now they are here as a convenient download and oh, so useable!
