I read that the new Jeff Foxworthy show about being smarter than a 5th grader has the rating and more shows have been scheduled.
As you know, I analyze everything! As I think about this show, what comes to mind is the phrase "Use it, or lose it." Of course the 5th graders will remember all of these things better than older adults because they recently studied all of these things.
However, adults have not thought on these topics for years. I used to do algebra very well, but because I have not used it in years, I would fail at any algebra test.
This got me thinking. Does this not apply to our Bible too? That is why it is so important to read God's Word regularly. If we do not use it, we will lose it. Reading his Word and applying it to our daily life helps us to keep His Word hidden in our hearts.
Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
