Loving Heritage Contribution

I found this quote today and it really touched me.

Thomas Kinkade, the painter of light:

"Human souls are the only things in this life that continue forever. And therefore my true heritage must be my loving contribution to other human souls."

Of course, digital scrapbooking can be a loving contribution to future generations, but what else can we or are we doing to contibute to other human souls?

What else do we do that makes a lasting impression far beyond the time we will be here on earth? Many things we say and do will leaving a lasting impression.

Often trees and plants and taking care of our environment will last a long time. I have stood at my grandmother's gardens and felt some sort of connection knowing that their hands had planted. Although they are long gone, the flowers and berries seem as if there is a timeless window linking us together.
