To be, to have, to think, to move?

To be, to have, to think, to move — which of these verbs is the one you feel most connected to? Or is there another verb that characterizes you better?

So, to answer the prompt.

To have.

I can identify with it a little bit because I am a sentimental sappy person and do love my sentimental keepsakes, especially those belonging to my ancestors or gifts people have given me, especially handmade gifts. However, other than sentimental things and photos, I'm not much of a "to have" person. Things do not go to heaven with me.

To move.

This would be something I identify with because I am also on the move. I am always busy. I always create to-do's and goals each day. I've had people many times in my life exclaim "how do you do it all!" It's because of a do-er I guess.

To think.

This is something I really identify with. In fact, this blog is called "life analyzed" because I have to analyze everything! See my first blog post of October 3, 2006. My second blog post of Analyzing Underwear may be my most popular blog post ever. It sure did get a lot of laughs. Even I laughed hard at all the comments.

To be.

God says He is the "I am" so I am hesitate to even claim to identify with "to be."

Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

However, if I am to truly analyze and choose one of the four choices that best characterizes me, and everyone else, wouldn't it be "to be?"

To be encompasses all else that we are. It includes what we have and why we have it. It includes how we move and why we move. It includes how we think and what we think.

I am me. To be me is to not be anyone else.

To be is being in the moment, whatever it is you are doing or not doing.

To be is to exist.

To believe in Christ and what He did for us on the cross is "to be" for eternity.

I hereby give written confirmation that the verb "to be" best describes me.
