Hummingbird

The ruby-throated hummingbird is so tiny yet demands so much of our time and attention. In just a flick of the head his neck is forever changing colors as the light hits it creating new shadows and shades. He stands guard nearby the feeder like a good family man. Surely he knows we are watching as the family flits in and around and about the feeder. Is that him looking back at me? Oh then there’s the rawkus playful bantering coming forth from the long beaks. Anything in God’s creation that captures the curiosity of the eye so well surely sings out all Glory to God. July 17, 2021

I had started a bird journal and this page was from the journal. It makes me laugh as it relates to the Woodpecker, Downy page. Go see. I wrote on July 18, 2017, "Beautifully out of place a hummingbird at the seed feeder watching the woodpecker."
