62. Camera Reviews

What would a layout be without photos?  Well, yes, sometimes an all journaling layout can be an awesome choice, but generally a good camera is important to this fabulous hobby.  Where do you turn when you want to shop for a new camera?  Here is a list of camera review sites.

Here are your comments!

Haven't seen a lot of these sites - thank you for the great info! I also like these websites: Photoxels (although the models aren't current, it gives you an idea of how this company categorizes photographers) dpreview (I like the depth of the reviews) g_robb53

thanks for the links Janen

great list thanks Dawn Miner

Thanks Hummie. At the moment, happy to stick with my simple camera, but if I get the into the idea of buying something more sophisticated, it will help to know where to look for info. JanetMM

Great links, thank you. My last camera was a recommendation from my granddaughter and I love it. ccynden

Thanks for the list, Hummie. I usually go on amazon.com and read the reviews before buying a new camera. We just subscribed to consumer reports, so I'd use that too if I need a new one. I like my camera to be a simple point and shoot and to take AA batteries as they are so easy to have on hand and replace. belle33

this is great to have a list of sites like this! When I got my DSLR last year, I was lucky enough to get the recommendation of a professional photographer who teaches classes for, shall we say, beginners to manual mode, LOL! I'd done a couple of her classes before so felt able to ask her. I did a bit of my own research but just through googling, so a list of decent review sites will be very handy when the time comes again! Thank you! Bernie x

Great list, and one I should use. I don't really check out cameras before I purchase, and I should do that. There are things on my new one that I am disappointed with and if I had done my homework, maybe I would have caught that before purchasing. NancyP

I do a lot of research before making big purchases such as cameras. This is a great resource list, Hummie! I have a canon point and shoot camera right now, but eventually I want to get a nicer camera. Dawn

Thanks for the list, I just bought a Sony Nex 5 and I love it. Jules

Thanks for the list. I'm not ready to replace my camera just yet but its always handy to know where you can get info on whats available a1bjm

Good list of resources. Thanks a lot. I am in the market for additional lens. I have a Cannon EOS 204cg

Fascinating. I want a rebel. I have a non-digital one, but it's not instant and hardly anybody does 1 hour photo anymore, so I'm stuck, plus have ALL these CD;s hanging around...guess that's a good thing given how many harddrives i've lost...Great resource, thank you. lovinlifegurl

Cool! I always read review on anything I purchase that cost this much! JustaMommie

I just bought a Canon EOS - Rebel T3i 600D. Plus an extra lenz a Tamron AF 18-200mm. Now to find out how to use it. I might have to sign up again for the photography lessons when I can. jodyt

Jody! That's the same camera I have. I am LOVING it!!!! Thanks for the list, Hummie. Tammyshere

This is the wrong question to ask me.....I rely on hubby to research and choose one. We have cell phone camera, one of the little cameras, and he has a nice one with adjustable stuff. Mostly we use the iphone camera. Sometime I plan to learn to use his Canon Rebel T3I, but not just yet. Am happy with a point and shoot right now. Nanscraps

I'd rather visit french sites. AMarie

I observed what other people were using and asked a lot of questions when I was looking for a good quality camera. My hubby had the old film style Canon camera when we first got married and it took really great photos in its time (we still have it but don't use it). A friend of mine had a Canon and I saw what beautiful pictures she was getting. My mind was pretty much made up so researching was more on cost and what I was getting for my money. With the Photography course I'm doing through Hummie, I'm getting pretty comfortable with my camera Maggie
