Lesson 7B - Font Management Programs

There are several programs for installing fonts, but I initially utilized a program called The Font Thing which is free, but it is getting harder to find to download on the internet and is no longer supported. Please watch the video, however, as most font programs work similarly and you can at least learn the features of font programs and what they do.

Most programs work similarly to The Font Thing, so you can watch the video to get a good idea of how to utilize font viewing programs.

I forgot to mention in the video that I do not use the collections any more, so I did not review it on the video, but if you want to do collections, the instructions are in the written tutorial.

MY SUGGESTION! -- I use the AmpFont Viewer now!

(The Font Thing may not work well with Vista or Windows 7 or 8, so you may learn any font program. AmpFont Viewer is my suggestion of free software.)

Download a font program here. Install the font that you downloaded temporarily and use it in a layout. Share the layout. Be sure to give credit for the name of the font.
