Lesson 6F - Resizing Background Papers (for rectangle scrappers)

(pdf) (link to comment)
Yes, as the title indicates, this tutorial is of most benefit to rectangle scrappers. However, if you are a square scrapper, do not skip it! There are some skills that you will learn in this tutorial that will help you too.

For instance, did you know that you can zoom out to see the bounding box in the grey area around your layout/file in order to grab that bounding box?
This invariably happens even when using other elements. I often get text that goes off the page and into the grey desktop area. Sometimes when I drag photos into a layout, they go into the grey desktop area accidentally. It is good to learn to recognize this so that you may zoom out to see the entire bounding box.

There are a few other skills at the end of this tutorial also. These are skills you may never utilize, but they may be fun for you to learn.

Download the papers to play with while following the tutorial.

Even if you do not plan on scrapping rectangle layouts, please do work through this tutorial. Make a rectangle file to just play with the downloaded papers.

When you are done playing, please post a comment so that I may follow your progress. If you want to share your "playing" image, I'd love to see it too.

WARM FUZZIES
Just wanted to say Thank You! I downloaded the free trial of PSE and completed my first page using your tutorials. Everything is explained so well and step by step. I had been looking for directions like this for a while...something for a computer literate, but digiscrapping/PSE illiterate newbie. :) I've bookmarked your site and know I will come back often to read up and check out all your links.

Thanks so much for all the great info!
