Blue Springs Conservation Area
We visited Blue Springs Conservation Area on June 16, 2018. We went here when we were camping at Bass River Resorts and really enjoyed relaxing in the water. It is located near Bourbon, Crawford County, Missouri. There were a lot of folks there from a resort down the road (Blue Springs Ranch which look like a fun place too), but not too many that we could not find a spot away from the others to ourselves.
There was a deeper area of beautiful blue-green water that we enjoyed swimmig in after everyone else cleared away. We did not find any trails or other ways to enjoy the area other than to follow the creek, but that is something we love to do! There is trout fishing availalbe and also access to the Meramac River from this property.
