We visited Nodaway Valley Conservation Area is in Holt & Andrew Counties on December 20, 2024. It was probably our least favorite of the places we visited on this vacation travel because much of it was blocked off for safety so that only hunters could enter. We were hopeful to find a place in Andrew County to count for our goal to visit something in every county of Missouri, but it took us a long time to drive from the main area in Holt County to the parking areas in Andrew County. That is all that was there in Andrew County as just parking spaces for those who want to hunt.
The view when we first entered by the toilets was wide and fabulous! We were so hopeful that we would love this place.
We drove down and found this parking area that had promise, but there was not a bird in sight on the day we were there, so we did not stay long.
We drove down this road in hopes of finding something to enjoy, but it also ended up in a closed area. There was a camping spot, but it was not attractive to us.
This is the parking area in Andrew County. It was almost a waste of gas, but at least we could say we were in Andrew County. We did find another place in Andrew County later in the day.
