Jenny's Creek Family Campground

We were traveling through Georgia on our first day of a week long vacation trying to reach the upper left corner of South Carolina when it began to get late in the day. True to our "gypsy style" camping, we began to look for a place to spend the night and ended up at Jenny's Creek Family Campground near Cleveland, Georgia. We were in the northern right corner of Georgia. It was a small campground, but the owners were nice and the other campers were nice as well, so we felt safe which is important.

It turned out to be a great thing for us as the owner gave us directions to some places to visit in the area that fit our likes and they turned out to be great fun! We had no idea we would be doing the tourist thing in Georgia when we left that morning. We spent a good time in Georgia exploring the area the next day and could have spent so much longer. Everything we visited was great. I kept saying, "Georgia sure did show up!" I could go back to the area again.

There was a store where we checked in and there was a lake with a fountain in it. The next morning I watched the waterfowl from a bench for a while. The showers were nice as well. A lady camping next to us (not shown here) happened to be at the shower as well and she insisted on seeing our Lone Peak camper. It sure is a show stopper everywhere we go.
