Lambert's Café

Lambert's Café is known as the Home of the Throwed Rolls. Although I probably have a lot of photos from here, they are buried in other daily photos, but I do have these from 2011 to share. Although they have locations elsewhere, we visit 2305 E Malone Ave, Sikeston, Scott County, Missouri, which is closer to our home. It is not the original location, but it is down the street from the original location. They do come around with sides and the portions are large. The license plates from all over are fun on the wall. Honestly, my first expereiences with the roll throwing and the staff were much more fun and full of laughs than my later visits. I believe when I first started visiting the original owner, or at least someone who owned it at the time, was present who made the experience a unique one. Some people cannot be replaced.

Whatever you do, be careful when you order a salad!

I have saved this booklet for many years, ever since my first visit to Lamberts. My first visits were a lot of fun, but nowadays the atomosphere of the restaurant has changed. People's personalities really do make a difference in an experience at a restaurant. If I had never experienced the before, the now would still be great. Click on the screenshot image above to open the booklet and seriously take time to read the story of how the Lamberts came to Southeast Missouri. It's worth the laughs.
