Video recorded by Grandpa and his second wife, Mary. We visited the state park and it is on this page: Table Rock State Park.
Branson is a Missouri City in Taney County and it is a well known vacation destination. For us, it is not really our thing. It is known for its many music shows (of which we cannot afford) such as the Dolly Pardon Stampede, and for Silver Dollar City. Lake Taneycomo is at the waterfront in downtown Branson. We took our three sons in July of 2003 and for the most part, they were bored. We are just so much more outdoor people than amusement park and waterpark people. We are not so much "lake people" either, rather enjoying rivers more. You can tell from the above videos that my Grandpa and his second wife also loved more of the outdoor things as the videos are of the boat rides and the lakes.
We visited the Showboat Branson Belle and this is the entrance to load as you see the boat in the distance. The showboat is right next to Table Rock State Park and travels on the same lake.
For me, this was the most memorable part of our trip.
We ate dinner on the boat and there was a show as you can see the stage here.
We could see folks riding the Branson Duck Boat in the water.
I am not sure what ride they road here.
We took a tour of someplace.
We road these small motorcars and the boys seemed to have fun, but it was a lot of money and then done so quickly, which is not a way we can often spend our money.
It seems we drove around Branson and just looked at everything we could not afford to do. I suppose this would be called "driving the strip." I thought we went to Silver Dollar City, but I do not see any photos of that in this folder.
