Table Rock State Park

I suppose the official entrance to Table Rock State Park is in Taney County, but most of the lake itself is in Stone County. As we drove across the dam and to the entrance of the park, I noticed that we went in and out of both of the counties. That made me smile. August 16, 2022.

Table Rock Lake is so much more than one area as it spreads out far and wide. I am sure there are many places to access the lake. The "lake lovers" know where they all are I am sure. We are not much of "lake people" but maybe we would if we would dare to rent a boat and take it out on a lake. Everywhere you go there are wonderful views like this one along the road.

You have to look fast and take photos even faster because there is no dawdling on these roads or you will get run into!

This is a view as we crossed the bridge nearing the dam and you can see the area where we pulled off to park and walk around a bit.

There is a nice walkway down to the lake and dam view.

I tried to take a pano with my cell phone app but as always it distorts it a bit. We did not walk all the way down to the end on the left of this snake shape trail.

The view was fabulous. We had been dodging thunderstorms all day as we drove just on the outskirts of them. It made for some fabulous clouds.

This was taken through the windshield making it a blue tint, but when I was on the trail I did not realize I was looking at the dam until I started to drive towards it.

This is as you cross the dam and go in and out of counties.

This is a view from the Table Rock State Park where the Lakeshore Trail begins. The Branson Belle is to the right and the campgrounds are to the left. It really is a beautiful view.

We found a boat launch with was also along the trail.
