Hannibal and Garth Woodside Mansion

We first visited Hannibal for our 5th anniversary, but those photos must be in our albums and not digital. We stayed at the Garth Woodside Mansion while our first two sons stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. Here we stayed at the Garth Woodside Mansion a second time on August 9, 2006, for our twentith anniversary, but this time took our three children with us. Both times we had a grand time. Hannibal is mostly in Marion County, but the Garth Woodside Mansion is in Ralls County.

Here are some of the same photos that are in the slideshow, but there are many more in the above video. There are even many more I did not include in the video. I can tell from the photos that my boys picked up the camera often and took a lot of the photos. We did take a boat tour on the Mark Twain Riverboat.

I think this was in a museum.

We had food on the riverboat. I kept this photo in as it shows the inside of the boat.

We went in the Mark Twain Cave.

We did climb all the way up to the tippy top of the Mansion and the room was so small this was the only way I could get a photo of it. He is standing in front of the window and below is what you see out the window.

This is the stairs to the very top.

They provided nightshirts and the guys went all in for the fun.

There were also hats and the guys tried them all on! There were lots of museum like artifacts around the house and it took a long time to observe it all.

I don't know why, but I remember this moment well. This is something to speak into, I believe, or a phonograph, but he picked it up and said it was his hearing aid. Notice his t-shirt. It is from our first visit here and he wore it all the time.

We visited Cardiff Hill.
