Graham Cave State Park is in Montgomery County, Missouri. We visited here on August 10, 2024, but we have actually been here several times, including when our sons were young. I could not find my photos, so to include this site on my website page, we needed to visit again. It is not hard to access being off of the major highway between St. Louis and Kansas City, and I have passed the signs many times in recent years.
The Graham Cave trail is only .30 mile loop, so it is a short hike. Most people I think go up the hill to see the cave and walk back down, but we walked the entire loop. There is some gentle waterfall flow along the trail. There are several trails in the park, as well as camping.
You can only go part way into the cave as there is a fence. I am assuming it is protecting the natural structure from vandals.
There was in the past execavation and many Native American artificacts have been found here, suggesting that they used this cave as a shelter.
Ths is looking out from within the cave.
This is the waterfall area, but in the middle of summer without much recent rain, it was only a trickle while we visited.
