We visited Maramec Spring Park on June 17, 2018, and this is most certainly a place I could return to time and again. This place is not to be confused with Meramec Sate Park or the Meramec River, noting that the spelling of the name is a big different. Maramec Spring is privately owned and operated by the James Foundation.
There is camping available, but reservations are a must, I understand. You can walk and walk about all day at this place and see beauty everywhere. There is a driving tour behind the springs along stringtown road and Historic Drive which allows for a trip back in time to where old homesteads were once lived and an imagination of what it would have been like to live down a dirt road back in the day.
