River Wallowing of Madison County

 

Our favorite thing to do is what we call "river wallowing." We have a location that is an hour from our house which is our favorite place for a day trip. Shhhhhhh! We are not telling the location other than it is in Madison County. We want it to stay private so we can enjoy the sounds of the water.

This is what we call "famous feet shot!" We have done this for years where we stick our feet into the water and snap a photo or film our feet wiggling.

 

I have to go here several times a year just to fill my soul! I cannot make it through Winter if I do not get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful waters of Missouri and the scenic great outdoors. The Winter blues will creep in so fast!

 

We are a little silly at times at the river. He even sings to me in this video! I'm "my girl!" How sweet!

 

At one point we talked about getting back to school clothes when we were young. What memories. He has a memory of getting new shoes one time a year. I have a memory of going school shopping and being allowed to buy just 5 dresses, one for each day of the week. It was not until I was in the 4th grade that we were allowed to wear pants.

 

We usually take some wine. There is a nearby winery as well for food and fill up.
