Morris Prairie Conservation Area

We visited Morris Prairie Conservation Area on Sunday, May 21, 2023, for a quick visit. Morris Prairie is in the Counties of Putnam and Sullivan, Missouri. The drive into the park was lovely, as well as the views from the entrances of the conservation area. I would have liked to check out the hiking trail, but had recently had enough of ticks. The conservation agent that was working in the parking lot making reports on his laptop told me that they had recently expanded the trails on the further end of the area. He did say they were dirt trails which is different than some of the other areas we have visited on this trip which were mown paths through grasses. I can imagine the prairie flowers later in the year and I am guessing this is a fabulous place to visit during that season of prairie flower blooms. If I lived closer, I would go back and look at it a little closer.

There is a great and wide view as you enter the parking lot.
