Lake Mahoney (Unionville) Conservation Area
We did a quick visit to Lake Mahoney Conservation Area in Putnam County, Missouri on May 21, 2023. It is managed by the city of Unionville in cooperation with the Missouri Conservation Department. It seems to me that Lake Mahoney and Lake Thunderhead are either next to each other or flow into each other and that there must be a lot to explore around this area, especially for those who enjoy boating and fishing. We enjoyed our quick tour with the beautiful views. It seemed a lot of folks built permanent residences on this lake, or at least vacation homes. This place is worth another look into to discover what else there is to do nearby.
