Lick Log Hollow Trail in Eminence, Missouri March 2021

How many times have I been to Eminence in this area exploring and I had no idea the Lick Log Hollow Trail even existed. I found it one day traveling back from Springfield after dropping my son off for deployment. I was anxious to see my favorite Alley Mill again, so dropped by for a quick visit all by myself. In searching for something new to adventure into, I found this 1.3 mile loop which is just the right length. I really enjoyed the hike and the features and would do it again. It is a Missouri Convervation trail, although the only mention of it on their website is that is run out of the Eminence office on the Angeline Conservation Area page, so it must be part of that area.

To get to Lick Log Hollow Trail, from the four way intersection in Eminence on Highway 19, travel north a 2.4 miles and turn right onto County Road 19-205, for .3 miles and turn south or right for .3 miles to parking lot.

I suggest taking a photo of the sign so you have a trail map. Note that the trail can be shortened if you want to cut through the middle, but the main feature is at the end of the top fork where the stream runs through.

This is the main feature. It is not that great of a photo, but I really enjoyed this area and sat down for a while.
