Commerce, Missouri

Commerce, Missouri Oct 2020

We like to visit Commerce Missouri on our way to River Ridge Winery. The above video includes a bit of the river walk and the winery, so I included it on both pages. I need to take time to explore the town even more one day and to go to the museum, provided it is ever open.

Here are a few photos I took on April 26, 2008. It seems as if the river is high and we could drive fairly close to it.

I have no idea what this is.

This is a bad photo of a church. There are many old historic buildings in Commerce.

On September 4, 2017 we visited the cemetery because I had done research on hubby's family and was looking for graves for some I do not know where they are buried. There was not much success.

This was the only marker we found. Effie Lumm's maiden name was "Kent" who was the sister of hubby's Grandpa, Pearl Cornelius Kent.

I could walk the streets and photograph the old vacant buildings. I love the textures and the ornate features.

The water seems lower in 2017 than in 2008 above. We love watching barges go by.

The above video on October 20, 2020 shows more of our adventures because it seems I only took one photo. The river is even lower it seems and we did park and walk a distance to get out there.
