Eastern Ozark Rendezvous at Bark's Plantation

We visited Barks Plantation RV Park and Campground on March 16, 2019, for the Eastern Ozark Rendezvous. They have this rendezvous there every year and it is a lot of fun for history buffs. It is a pre-1840's reenactment encampment. To get there, from Marble Hill, take Highway 34 west 3.10 miles. Turn right onto Highway ZZ and go 1 3/4 miles. They hold other events at Barks Plantation, so it is good to keep an eye out for them on social media.

If I remember correctly, the plantation was under construction and this area was not ready or complete to be open to the public when we visited.

Some people like hubby just have to try on everything.

Oh hubby!

I loved the period dress and taking photos of the folks.

We had such a great time chatting with all of the reenactors.

This is a "living" history event, so they cooked as if they were cooking back then.

There were many things for sale too.

They had a pond on the plantation with a bridge across one part of it.

This is an overview of the encampment tents.
