Twin Borrow Pits Conservation Area

We visited the Twin Borrow Pits Conservation Area on February 4, 2023, because it has become "a thing" try to get get something from every county for the website and there is nothing in Pemiscot County other than some conservation areas which seem to be mostly for marshy boaters who like to hunt. We went to the closest one and this was it. We did go to a nearby one as well which was a little better. Honestly, Pemiscot County and the entire bootheel are all flat and all farmland.

Honestly, there is not much here and not worth the drive unless you are doing something stupid like me! We wanted to get this "out of the way" in the Winter months so we could go to someplace more exciting when it warms up.

Someone told us that day when we asked where to go in Pemiscot County that "a lot of people go and stand in front of the Cooter sign. I was not about to drive all the way south to the first city as you cross the Arkansas border to stand in front of a sign because it has a bad meaning to the city name.
