Casa De Loco Winery (now closed)

Casa de Loco Winery was located at  3 Riley Mead Lane, Eldon, Miller County, Missouri. In 2022 the website says "closed for the season" but the internet says permanently closed. We visited on June 14, 2015.

I have a video of the drive out down a one lane country road, but I decided this place was not worth the time to post the video. It was actually a memorable visit, but not for good reasons. The drive in was on a one-way road with no place to pass other cars and in my video I waid something about some folks in a house staring at you as you went by.

There was a little bridge that you crossed and the winery felt a need to tell the public it was safe to cross. That should be red flag number one.

The word "loco" in Spanish is crazy. That should be red flag number two!

The deck and the chairs outdoors were extremely dirty. Even I had trouble sitting on them.

This was the view from the deck. You could not see much with all the growth that was never cut down. The place had potential.

There were lots of interesting tidbits to the place.

Loco Stomp tank? How do you get in and can you see out or the people stomping when they are in there?

No locoal wintes. It's from California. And all of the images were weird on the bottles.

There were some steps and a way to go down to the edge of a cliff. We were told to do at it our own risk and so we did. It was a little dangerous. It had potential if the area would be built up to make it safer. It was dirty and a little bit odd to be sitting on the edge of this cliff.

Again, not a good view.

The cave was kind of cool.

Who wants to set their glass down on that dirty table?
